Neymar has been booed by his own fans during his Paris St-Germain reunite against Strasbourg – subsequently played with an injury-time winner that was overhead-kick.
The Brazil forwards missed the opening five games as he attempted and failed to secure back a move to Barcelona.
He was booed by PSG ultras when his name was read out before the match, once he touched the ball, when he chose a corner when he shot wide.
After he scored the late winner there was a mixture of boos and cheers.
Neymar’s aim proved to be a sensational acrobatic volley in Abdou Diallo’s cross that went in off the post.
Neymar was the ball in the net for the time minutes later but it had been disallowed by the movie assistant referee for offside.
There were chants and banners with vulgar terminology about Neymar, such as a reference to the 20m euros he had said he’d cover in order to join Barcelona.
The forward wanted to move back to Catalonia in the summertime, but Barcelona were still unable to attain an agreement.
He missed opening Ligue and the Trophee des Champions 1 matches.
There were also PSG debuts such as striker Mauro Icardi and goalkeeper Keylor Navas, on loan from Real Madrid and Inter Milan although former Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera made his Ligue 1 bow in the second half.
Neymar will be inaccessible for PSG’s next game – Wednesday’s Champions League home match with Real Madrid – due to a three-match European suspension.
